Why Do Bakers Use Grams?

Sometimes bakers use grams to measure things. It can be mad confusing. Why not just use volumetric measurements (Cups, teaspoons) instead?

There is a reason to the madness

Weight vs Volume

I’ll keep this short and sweet.

The volume of different ingredients changed based on conditions.

The weight never changes, so 100 grams of flour always weighs the same (unless maybe you’re on the international space station where everything is weightless 😂).

This constant allows your formulas to be replicated with greater success, and makes sure that you get the best results.
