Sourdough Bakery Associate

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Sourdough Bakery Associate. As a key member of our bakery, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing the cash register, maintaining organization within the retail shop, and ensuring the cleanliness and smooth operation of the storefront. You will also perform similar duties at farmers market and other events

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Educate customers about our bakery products, including our signature sourdough boules and other baked goods.
• Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently, handling transactions and providing customers with receipts.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness throughout the retail shop, including display areas, countertops, and floors.
• Restock bakery products and merchandise as needed to ensure a well-presented storefront.
• Monitor inventory levels and inform management of low stock or supply needs.
• Open and close the shop according to scheduled hours, including securing cash and locking up the premises.
• Uphold food safety and hygiene standards at all times.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a retail or bakery environment.
• Proficiency in cash register management and basic math skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
