Sourdough Baker

We are seeking an experienced Sourdough Baker who is passionate about crafting artisanal bread and eager to share their knowledge through baking and education. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sourdough fermentation and baking techniques, along with a commitment to producing high-quality, flavorful bread.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and maintain sourdough starter cultures.

2. Mix, knead, shape, and bake sourdough bread using traditional methods.

3. Monitor fermentation processes to ensure optimal flavor and texture.

4. Collaborate with team members to develop new sourdough recipes and products.

5. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following food safety standards.

6. Educate customers and staff about sourdough baking techniques and the benefits of sourdough bread.

7. Assist with inventory management and ordering of baking supplies.

8. Adapt to changing production demands and work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience baking sourdough bread commercially or in a professional kitchen.

2. Strong understanding of sourdough fermentation and baking principles.

3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

4. Excellent time management and organizational skills.

5. Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

6. Passion for sharing knowledge and educating others about sourdough baking.

7. Attention to detail and commitment to producing consistently high-quality products.

8. Physical ability to lift and carry heavy bags of flour and other baking ingredients.
