We love fresh bagels. Even more, we love these sourdough bagels with cream cheese or with avocado.
-Based on 500 grams of flour.
-Formula produces 8 bagels.
-Takes about 9-13 hours from start to finish

Optional Toppings
- sesame seeds
- Everything Bagel Seasoning
- salt ( sprinkle on top, don't dip)
- poppy seeds
- shredded cheese
Water Bath
- 6 cups water
- 1 tblsp sugar
Steps
- Mix the dough ingredients together
- Knead by hand in your mixing bowl for 10 minutes, OR by machine for 6 minutes
- Place in warm environment (68°F) for 8-12 hours or until doubled in size
- Pour out dough on wooden counter & split into 8 parts.
- Shape into balls
- Punch a hole through the center
- Place on parchment paper on a baking sheet
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour
- Bring water & sugar to boil.
- Drop the bagels into the boiling water. Boil for 2 minutes then flip and boil the other side for two minutes
- Place on parchment covered baking sheet
- Pre heat your oven to 425°
- Place toppings of choice on your bagels
- Bake for 25 minutes
- Pull out and let cool (or consume immediately and be enormously satisfied)
